Holmdel Citizens Police Academy Sign-Up Deadline Friday

HOLMDEL, NJ — Applications are being accepted for the Holmdel Township Police Department Citizens Police Academy, which runs from March 7 to April 25. The application deadline is March 1.

The Citizens Police Academy provides members of the community with a background and understanding of Holmdel Township Police Department policies and activities, as well as the structure and limits of police power, the department says.

Familiarity with these principles is the key to understanding the actions and reactions of police officers in the performance of their duties.

This eight-week program will be held one time per week for approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. The program is limited to 20 participants.
