Hazlet Route 36 Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled for Friday Night

A sobriety checkpoint will be set up on Route 36 in Hazlet on Friday night.

Hazlet police and the Monmouth County DWI Task force will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on Friday night, into early Saturday morning on Route 36 and Stone Road, to determine if drivers are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The checkpoint will begin at 11 p.m. and continue until 3 a.m. Saturday. Officers will be directing vehicles into the Holy Family School Parking lot to determine drivers sobriety, according to Hazlet Chief James Broderick.
