Police said two people were taken to Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel after an accident Tuesday morning at Route 35 and Hazlet Road.

5:30 p.m. update: Highway 35 traffic light at Hazlet Road has been repaired.

HAZLET, NJ - An accident at Route 35 at Hazlet Road was cleared earlier Tuesday and the traffic light damaged in the accident was repaired by the state Department of Transportation, police confirm.

A control box for the light was damaged in the accident, police said.

The crash took place on Hazlet Avenue and Highway 35 at about 7:13 a.m., Hazlet police said.

Two people involved in the accident were taken to Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel. Police did not have immediate information on their conditions.
