The Holmdel Board of Education has approved the calendar for next year, with 183 school days set. The calendar (attached to this article) schedules 24 vacation days for students, and five four-hour sessions. The district has three emergency or inclement weather closings built in, but should closings exceed three days the calendar will take away May 23, then bring a four-hour session for April 14, while finally taking away April 16 as vacation days. If by March 21 emergency closings are less than three days, vacation will be added to April 21, May 22 and May 27.
