On Tuesday, the Holmdel Girls Tennis captured their fourth consecutive Central Jersey II Championship, after winning over Rumson-Fair Haven.

Holmdel’s Sarah Yan was described as the ”rock” of the team by Coach Chuck Chelednik, and gave the Hornets their third point lead with a 6-4, 6-0 victory, according to the Asbury Park Press.
A championship-worthy double pairing of Stephanie Pugh and Emily Kong, with wins of 6-0, 6-0, also helped secure the Hornets victory.

Holmdel now advances in the NJSIAA Group II Tournament to go up against the North Jersey 1, Group II tournament champion Ramapo on Thursday morning at 9 a.m. at Mercer County Park against Ramapo.
