Holmdel Man Survives Crashing in to Woods off Holmdel Rd.

The Holmdel resident is reported to have driven over 200 feet in to the woods after veering off of Holmdel Road.

A Holmdel resident has survived an accident on Monday after veering off of Holmdel Road and driving in to the woods.

Holmdel Police Lt. Michael Smith reported that a call was received at headquarters at approximately 4:00 p.m. of a vehicle that had veered off of Holmdel Road and in to the trees.

Patrol Officer Foley was the first to respond at the scene, where he found Robert McQuade, age unknown at this time, in his vehicle approximately 200 feet off the road near 947 Holmdel Road.

Officer Foley requested an ambulance and fire department assistance because of how deep in to the woods McQuade and his vehicle were, Smith says.

Holmdel First Aid, Holmdel Fire Department, and MONOC assisted in removing McQuade from his vehicle. McQuade was alert, Smith says, but was transferred to Jersey Shore University Medical Center aftering complaining of head pain from a minor head injury and arm pain.
