Holmdel Residents Vie for Freeholder Spots on Both Sides of the Aisle
Serena DiMaso is running to keep her seat ,while Lawrence Luttrell throws his hat in the ring.
Two Holmdel residents are looking for spots on the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, as primary ballots become final.
Incumbent Freeholder Serena DiMaso (R) filed to run for a full-year term.
DiMaso, formerly a Holmdel committeewoman and mayor, filled a vacant Monmouth County Freeholder seat in 2012 and was officially elected in November. DiMaso was named Deputy Director of the board in 2013 after serving for less than a year.

Former Holmdel Township Committee candidate Lawrence Luttrell (D) threw his hat in the ring for a full term Freeholder position as well. Luttrell lost the 2012 election for Township Committee, which lead to a Republican controlled Holmdel government.
A full-term for Freeholders is three years. The primary election is on Tuesday, June 4. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
