Learn The Inside Story Of Police Work At Holmdel Citizens Academy
You can apply for the Holmdel Citizens Academy now. First classes are in March.

HOLMDEL, NJ — If you'd like to learn more about how your police department works, you might consider signing up for the Citizens Police Academy.
Applications are now being accepted for the Holmdel Township Police Department Citizens Police Academy, which runs from March 7 to April 25.
The Citizens Police Academy gives participants an understanding of department policies and activities, as well as the structure and limit of police power, the township says.

"Familiarity with these principles is the key to understanding the actions and reactions of police officers in the performance of their duties," a news release on the program says.
The eight-week program will be held once a week for approximately 2 hours, 15 minutes. The program is limited to 20 participants.
