October Events for All Ages at Hazlet Library

Hazlet Library has events in the month of October for all ages!

Looking for something to do for the whole family? Check out these events and program at the Hazlet Library for the month of October:

  • Happy Halloween Spooktacular: Begins at 6:30 p.m., October 20th. This is an event for the whole family! Start your Halloween celebration early at a spine-chillingly cheerful carnival. Play ghoulish games, listen to spooky stories, make freakishly fun crafts and go home with some wicked prizes. Registration is required.
  • Tail Waggin’ Tutors: 4:15 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. October 21. This is an event for children in grades K and up. Choose one session and practice reading aloud to a certified therapy dog that really listens. Bring a favorite book or borrow one from the library. Registration is required.
  • Bookbites: A Book Group for Adults: Noon, October 23. The group discussion this month will be “Longbourn” by Jo Baker. The novel — an imagined answer to “Pride and Prejudice” — focuses on English servants at the Bennet household during the Napoleonic Wars. When a mysterious new footman arrives, the orderly realm of the servants’ hall threatens to be upended.
  • Color a Kick Sack: 4:15 p.m. October 28. This is an event for children in grades K and up. Personalize your own bead-filled canvas hacky sack. Registration is required.
