Shoplifting Suspect Charged In Rash Of Thefts From Holmdel Store
Holmdel police investigation: Paterson man arrested, charged with nine counts of shoplifting from a local Marshalls & Home Goods store.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A Paterson man has been charged with nine counts of shoplifting from a local Marshalls & Home Goods store following a "lengthy" investigation by detectives, police here said.
Between October of last year to March, the store at Holmdel Towne Center experienced a rash of shoplifting activity by an unknown man, police said.
After an investigation by Det. Eric Hernando, a suspect was identified and now charged. Police have not released the suspect's name.

On March 22, Hernando and Det. Andrew Kret arrested the 30-year-old Paterson resident after conducting surveillance where he was believed to be staying, police said.
The man was charged with nine counts of shoplifting, and was in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold, according to police.
