2 North Jersey Residents Arrested In Child Porn Crackdown
One of the suspects played a role in the solicitation, creation, and distribution of child pornography, police said.
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — Two Sussex County residents were arrested following a multi-faceted investigation into a child pornography conspiracy, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Ryan J. Smith, 24, of Franklin, was arrested last month after a search warrant of his home was executed, resulting in the recovery of several child pornography materials, police said.
Smith played a role in the solicitation, creation, and distribution of child sexual abuse materials, which exploited victims from New Jersey and other parts of the country, according to investigators.

Smith is charged with possession of images of sexually exploited children, storing images of sexually exploited children on a file-sharing program, reconstructing images of children engaged in sexual acts, possession of items depicting sexually exploited children with intent to distribute, conspiracy to share or distribute images of child exploitation as an organizer/administrator of a Network, and destruction of evidence.
During the investigation into Smith, police also arrested Devina Biddulph, 61, of Franklin, for obstruction of the administration of law and resisting arrest.

According to police, Biddulph threatened the officers who were searching Smith's home and tried to trespass in an ambulance that was parked outside.
Smith is being held in the Morris County Correctional Facility to await court proceedings.
Biddulph was issued a summons and released pending her appearance in Sussex County Superior Court.
