Cocaine Parcel Intercepted; 3 Lake Hopatcong Residents Arrested

Raymond D. Rosario, Anthony J. Cavallone and Rebecca R. Keir were arrested on charges stemming from possession and distribution of cocaine.

LAKE HOPATCONG, NJ — Three Lake Hopatcong residents were arrested on possession and distribution of cocaine charges after officials intercepted and investigated two parcels, each containing around one-half kilogram of cocaine.

Raymond D. Rosario, 38, Anthony J. Cavallone, 25, and Rebecca R. Keir, 25, were each arrested on July 30, according to a news release from the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

The United States Postal Service developed information that the two drug-laden parcels were being mailed to residences in Jefferson Township and Rockaway Township, the news release said. On July 30, investigators seized the over one kilogram of cocaine, in addition to a loaded, defaced handgun and over $8,000.

All three individuals face possession of cocaine charges, and Cavallone and Rosario also face allegations that they intended to distribute cocaine, the news release said.

Additionally, Rosario is charged with obstructing administration of law and tampering with physical evidence, and faces charges relating to firearm possession.

Carlos J. Morales-Colon, 26, of Dorado, Puerto Rico, also faces charges.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll thanks the Morris County Sheriff's Office, Parsippany Troy-Hills Police Department, Long Hill Police Department, New Jersey State Police and Wharton Police Department for their assistance and commitment to the prosecutor's office's Narcotics Task Force, which is responsible for drug-related investigations.
