Fatal Drowning Confirmed In North Jersey Hot Tub
The drowning victim was last seen in the hot tub Monday night, before she was found dead the following morning, officials said.
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — A woman has drowned in a hot tub in Sussex County, officials have confirmed.
According to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office, a 66-year-old woman was found dead in a hot tub in Montague Township on Tuesday, around 6 a.m.
Emergency responders, the New Jersey State Police, and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office arrived at the Montague residence to investigate.

Officials added that the woman was last seen alive in the hot tub the night before.
An investigation into the woman’s death is ongoing, and officials say there are no immediate signs of foul play and that the cause of death will be determined following an autopsy.
