HOPATCONG, NJ — We asked you what businesses you think the Hopatcong and Sparta area needs, and you had a lot of opinions, some more realistic than others. The most common request was for some type of grocery store to replace the old Pathmark— specifically, you want a Trader Joe's in town.
Currently, Hopatcong and Sparta area residents have to drive to Wayne or Florham Park for their Trader Joe's fix, a nuisance when you only need one thing to finish making dinner.
