HOPATCONG, N.J.– Hopatcong's Land Use Board meeting to discuss redevelopment has been postponed until December, officials said.

The meeting will take place Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. inside the Hopatcong High School cafeteria.

An April resolution by the borough council requested that the borough planner determine if the properties between the Hudson Maxim School and the area of the River Styx Bridge were in need of redevelopment.

The area is approximately 32.8 acres and contains 44 properties, according to John K. Ruschke, vice president of Hatch Mott McDonald, who drafted the study.

The goal of the redevelopment is to "transform underutilized, underdeveloped, substandard, functionally obsolete, and dilapidated properties," according to Ruschke.
