After discovering mold that was related to the rains that pummeled the area following the remnants of Ida in early September, the district made an attempt to have an air quality test done on Sept. 22, after vigorous cleaning of the classrooms. However, an inspector still found that mold had returned to the building, in spite of the first round of mitigation.
Students stayed virtual through Oct. 1, with the district having received approval from New Jersey’s Department of Education to do so during the remediation process.
