Hopatcong Trio Wins 4-H Honors

Best in Show awards go to all three at county fair in Chester.

Three Hopatcong residents earned honors at the Morris County 4-H Fair late last month in Chester.

Caitlyn Brunner took home both Best in Show and Honorable Mention in the fine art division for grades nine through 10. Brunner is a member of Morris County’s 4-H Teen Council, a community service club.

Kelly Maegerlein earned Best in Show in the crafts division for a molded horn of plenty. Her sister, Kristin, was awarded Best in Show in the rabbit show for her Flemish giant. Both Kelly and Kristin are members of Buckanears 4-H Small Animal Club. The club teaches members how to care for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, and other “pocket pets.”
