School Bus Driver Injured In Sparta Entrapment Crash: Police
An injured school bus driver was airlifted to Morristown Hospital Wednesday after a crash on N. Church Road in Sparta, police reported.

SPARTA, NJ — A school bus driver was airlifted to Morristown Hospital after a crash on Wednesday afternoon that injured another 15-year-old passenger, according to police.
Sparta Police Lt. John Lamon told Patch there were six children on the bus who were "shaken up" but were not reported injured. Police got the call at 2:41 p.m. about the crash on N. Church Road in Sparta.

A police report said the Byram school bus was making a left turn out of the Sussex County Charter School when a Toyota Matrix heading north on Route 94 hit the bus. The Toyota's driver was an 18-year-old woman from Hamburg, New Jersey, whom police reported had the right of way.
The children on the bus were all between 11 and 15 years old, police said.

Lamon said the bus driver was sent by helicopter because there had been entrapment. In entrapment cases, he noted, it is always necessary to assure there are no internal injures. The driver had an arm injury. The teen who suffered a shoulder injury went to Newton Hospital, police reported.
