Sparta Man Arrested For DWI: Police

Police said that William Moody, 66, crossed over the double yellow lines several times and had empty beer bottles strewn about his Subaru

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.– A 66-year-old Sparta man was arrested for DWI on Thursday morning, authorities said.

Detective Brian Hassloch pulled over a 2015 Subaru after seeing it cross the double yellow lines several times on Andover Road, Sgt. Dennis Proctor said.

Hassloch immediately suspected the driver, William Moody, of driving while intoxicated, according to Proctor.

Empty beer bottles were also found strewn about the car, the sergeant said.

Moody was charged with DWI, careless driving, failure to keep right and failure to exhibit documents, Proctor said.
