Sparta Resident Marched in D.C. for Voting Rights
About 60 local residents took the trip to rally Congress.

Sparta resident Toni Zimmer was one of thousands to participate in a memorial march on D.C. this past Saturday, according to New Jersey Herald.
Zimmer was marching to rally Congress to restore the Voters Rights Act as an anti-discrimination provision was recently changed in the act as per a Supreme Court decision.
About 60 local residents got on a bus to attend the march, which happened on the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech. The local residents took a charter bus out of the Marshall's parking lot.
