Sparta’s Turkey Trot Happening In Person And Virtually

SPARTA, NJ — Known as a Thanksgiving tradition before the actual Thanksgiving tradition, the 15th annual Krogh’s Turkey Trot is both in-person and virtual this year, to benefit the Sparta Education Foundation.
The 5K Run/Walk is $35 per person and kicks off on Nov. 25 at 8:45 a.m. and 10 a.m., in Lake Mohawk’s White Deer Plaza, with the one-mile “Fun Run” for ages 5 and up (parents need to accompany their kids), starting at 8:15 and 8:45 a.m.

There’s also the Virtual 5K run and walk, which like its in-person counterpart is $35 per person, but can be run “anytime, anywhere” from Nov. 25 through Nov. 30. The one-mile virtual Fun Run, is additionally $15 per person and needs to be completed in the same timeframe as the Virtual 5K.
Sponsored by Krogh’s Restaurant and other local sponsors, the USATF certified course starts and finishes at Krogh’s, according to the Turkey Trot race signup page.

There will be prizes handed out to top male and female finishers by age groups and while supplies last, goody bags will also be given out.
