Fire In Howell Monday Night Brings Out Big Response, Police Report

Police said Monday night there was a fire on Lanes Pond Road at a residence in the township; more information will be released Tuesday.

HOWELL, NJ — Police here say there was a house fire Monday night, Jan. 23, on Lanes Pond Road in the southern end of the Township.

Howell Detective Sgt. Peter Kuppler said the information as of Monday night is that it is a private residence - not a commercial or public use - that had the fire.

As of approximately 6 p.m. Monday, there are no reported injuries.

"However, please be reminded that this is an active scene," Kuppler said.

Howell fire companies were on scene with assistance of Howell police, EMS and Office of Emergency Management, as well as Farmingdale Fire Department and Jackson Fire Department, Kuppler said.
