Classic Or Cheesy, Catch These Halloween Flicks On Howell TV
Howell Township wants to make better use of its public access cable Channel 77, so it's running a week of Halloween features.
HOWELL, NJ — TCM can take a back seat. Howell Township is airing classic scary movies for Halloween on the township public access channel.
Tune in to Channel 77 on the Altice cable provider starting Monday, Oct. 24, through Halloween, said Interim Township Administrator Joseph Clark.
The township will be featuring Halloween movies every night, Monday through Sunday beginning at 8:30 p.m., he said. On Halloween, the township will have an all-day rerun marathon.

Clark said Channel 77 is the the town's public access station under the cable franchise.
"Howell TV is a very underutilized resource in town," Clark said, "and an initiative has been put in place to enhance its use."

As part of that initiative, and to provide Howell residents with a Halloween “treat,” Clark said the town will broadcast its "creature features" 1950s and '60s that are in the public domain.
" An added bonus is that Channel 77 is commercial free. We hope that families will take time to watch and enjoy some truly cheesy old movies," he said
