Deadline For Pet License Renewal Coming Up In Howell
Dogs, cats in Howell should be registered by Feb. 15 to avoid a late fee, township says.
HOWELL, NJ — Dog and cat licenses for 2023 must be renewed in the township by Feb. 15, or a $10 late fee goes into effect on Feb. 16, the township reminds residents.
Reminder postcards have been mailed to pet owners, the township said in its announcement.
Pet licenses can be purchased in person at the Clerk's Office, online, or by mail.

Licensing requires a rabies vaccination certificate. For dogs, the license fee is $14 for a spayed or neutered dog with a certificate to that effect. Non-spayed and non-neutered dog licens fee is $17., according to the renewal form.
Cats also must have a rabies certificate. The cost for a spayed/neutered cat with a certificate $4.; not spayed/ neutered is $6. There is a public assistance rate of $2.
