Fire Destroys Howell Township Home

The house was engulfed in flames when authorities arrived, police said.

HOWELL, NJ — An afternoon fire destroyed a home in the Adelphia section of Howell on Tuesday, Howell police said.

There were no injuries.

The fire at 13 Woodstown Dr. was reported at 3:35 p.m. and police officers who responded found the home engulfed in flames, police said.

Everyone who was in the home had safely evacuated, police said.

Firefighters from Freewood Acres, Adelphia Fire, Squankum Fire, Southard Fire, Jackson Station 55, and Freehold Township Independent Fire companies responded and extinguished the blaze, police said.

Howell Police EMS and Howell Township First Aid responded as well.

The fire remains under investigation by the Howell Township Fire Bureau and Monmouth County Fire Marshal.
