HOWELL, NJ —A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect in Monmouth County and Howell will likely be getting 4 to 6 inches of snow overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

The township issued a statement reminding residents that all parked vehicles must be removed from roadways to facilitate plowing efforts.

"If plowing activities are needed vehicles within the roadway can create an unsafe condition and can prevent plow’s access to some streets," the township said in a statement.

Here is the latest forecast for Monmouth County:

  • Thursday night: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 3 a.m. Low around 32. West wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
  • Friday: Snow likely, mainly before 10 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 36. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 23. Breezy, with a west wind around 20 mph.
