Howell Asks Residents To 'Adopt A Family' For The Holidays

The program is meant to benefit families that need some extra help during the holidays.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township is organizing a program to help families during the holiday season.

Residents and businesses can "Adopt a Family" in need within the community.

Anyone interested in participating can reach out by calling 732-938-4500 ext.2102.

You can also help by purchasing a gift certificate of any value (Walmart, Target, Five Below, Kohl's, Applebee's or visa card) or by organizing a neighborhood, office or store collection for families. All gifts must be unwrapped.

There will be two drop-off dates at the Howell Municipal Building on Dec. 2 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and on Dec. 3 between 10 a.m. and 4 p..m.

"These are tough times and with the challenges of our local and national economy, more families are in need of our generosity," the township wrote on social media
