HOWELL, NJ — A Howell Township man who bragged on video about raping babies and wanting to rape young children was ordered to remain in jail pending further court action, according to a report.
John T. Curley, 61, was arrested Sept. 24 on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child after authorities found 43 images of child sexual abuse on his electronic devices, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and the probable cause affidavit.

During his detention hearing on Friday, authorities said the images were only part of what was found on Curley's electronics. Also found were multiple videos Curley had made of himself, making statements about raping babies, the Asbury Park Press reported.
Superior Court Judge Jill Grace O'Malley read transcripts from several videos that Curley had made, the report said. In one, he bragged about having raped a baby. In another, he bragged about being "a proud baby pedophile," the report said.
