Howell Reorganization Is Tuesday
Howell meeting to appoint board members, professionals is at 5 p.m. on Jan. 2.

HOWELL, NJ — The reorganization meeting of the Township Council will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 5 p.m.
There was no municipal election in Howell this past year, so the mayor and council positions remain unchanged.
But there will be nominations made for the position of deputy mayor. Township Council member Evelyn O'Donnell was the deputy mayor in 2023.

The meeting will include appointments to various township boards and committees. It will also include professional appointments. There will also be a swearing in of police officers and police promotions.
The meeting will be marked by several ceremonies: Presentation of Colors by the Howell Township Police Honor Guard; performance of the National Anthem by Howell High School Rebel Yell; and an invocation Pastor Mark Nigro of Cornerstone Church.

All ordinances previously listed for introduction on the Nov. 28 agenda will be added to the first regularly scheduled business meeting of January 2024.
The next regularly scheduled Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The regular meeting will begin at 7 p.m. that day.
Meetings take place at the Howell Township Municipal Building, Main Meeting Room, 4567 Route 9 North.
