Howell School Lockdown Triggered By Accidental Alarm, Police Say

The school has been checked and lockdown is over, police said at 11:45 a.m.

HOWELL, NJ — A lockdown was triggered at Adelphia School in Howell on Tuesday morning, after an interior panic alarm was activated, according to the Howell Township Police Department.

Officials believe the activation was accidental. The school has been checked and lockdown is over, police said at 11:45 a.m.

There was a heavy police presence at the school after the lockdown started.
