Howell Teen Found Safe With Help From Friend, Helicopter Search
The teen was last seen on Friday at around 6 p.m. at home on West Farms Road and fled on a bike before police arrived.
HOWELL, NJ — A 16-year-old teen who had threatened to harm himself was found safe Saturday after he had been missing for about a day, according to the Howell Police Department.
The teen was last seen on Friday at around 6 p.m. at his home on West Farms Road and fled on a bike before police arrived.
A helicopter was used in the search for the teen. He was turned over to medical staff.

"He was calm and cooperative," police said.
The teen has friends all around Howell and one of them helped with coordinating his return, police said.

Police described the teen as being 6’1” and weighing 130 pounds. He was wearing a wool cap, hooded sweatshirt most likely over a long-sleeved Vans T-shirt, grey jogger-style pants and red, white and blue cowboy boots.
Police warned on Friday that there would be a large presence of police and emergency personnel in the area of his home.
