Lakewood Man, Victim Of Howell Car Accident, Was 'A Joy'
A fundraising site has been set up for the family of Victor Ardiles of Lakewood, who died in a single-car crash in Howell last week.
HOWELL, NJ — Victor “Lokillo” Ardiles of Lakewood, who died in a car accident last week, was remembered by his family as one whose "presence brought light and pure joy."
Howell police confirmed Wednesday that it was Ardiles, 51, who died when he lost control of his SUV on a curve on a Howell road.
His family has established a GoFundMe site to help with expenses for his family. He left behind two sons, the site says.

Caterina Ardiles is organizing the fundraiser, the site says.
"He left a huge hole in the hearts of his family. He was a beloved father, brother and son," the site says.

It says that with his sudden loss, the family was "not prepared for the financial burden of the funeral expenses."
The family says "Any amount, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. I understand that times are tough for everyone, but if you are able, please consider giving. Your generosity and support mean everything to us."

The Sept. 6 accident happened on Lanes Mill Road in the area of Lanes Pond Road. There were four passengers in the car who were in stable condition, police said last week.
Ardiles, born in Lima, Peru, is survived by his wife, two children and his father and brothers, according to an online obituary.
