Monmouth ACTS Navigation System Gets New Name: “ResourceConnect”
Updated name and website reflect initiative's commitment to simplicity, accessibility and resident-centered support

In an effort to make vital services easier to find and understand, Monmouth County officials announced today that the Monmouth ACTS Navigation System is being renamed Monmouth ACTS ResourceConnect. The new name reflects the program’s purpose – connecting residents to the help they need – while making it simpler and more memorable for the community.
ResourceConnect, first introduced in 2024, is a groundbreaking service through the Monmouth ACTS (Assisting Community Through Services) initiative that allows residents to access a broad range of human services through a single point of contact. Whether someone is seeking help with housing, food, medical care, employment, behavioral health or more, ResourceConnect links individuals to the appropriate local agencies – quickly, compassionately and efficiently.
“Monmouth ACTS ResourceConnect is more than just a new name – it’s a renewed promise to our residents,” said Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone. “We want people to feel that when they reach out for help, someone is ready to connect them to the support they need, without barriers or confusion.”
As part of this rebranding effort, Monmouth ACTS has also launched a new and improved website at www.MonmouthACTS.org. The updated site features simplified navigation, and a new “Quick Help Guide” that enables users to browse and locate services for specific issues with ease – another step in ensuring that support is accessible to all, regardless of their situation or digital fluency. A link to ResourceConnect has also been added to www.VisitMonmouth.com.
“At its core, Monmouth ACTS is about listening to our residents and responding in ways that matter,” said Commissioner Deputy Director Susan M. Kiley, liaison to the Department of Health & Human Services. “By making our tools clearer and more approachable, we are making our services more accessible and effective. We’re continuing to find ways to serve residents better – together.”
To use ResourceConnect, residents simply call 732-683-8959 to speak with a trained, compassionate social worker who will help assess their needs and make the appropriate connections. Depending on the level of need, the social worker can make direct referrals, personally connect callers to agencies or help coordinate care across multiple services. Follow-ups and outcome tracking are built into the system to ensure no resident is left behind after that first call.
“Monmouth ACTS ResourceConnect opens the door to services and provides a pathway to success,” said Peter-Donnell Boynton, Chair of the Monmouth ACTS Advisory Council and Director of the Monmouth County Department of Health & Human Services. “We’ve eliminated the maze of phone calls and intake forms, so people can focus on getting help – not navigating bureaucracy.”
The new name and update to the website is just the latest way the Monmouth ACTS initiative is working to streamline access to services in Monmouth County. The groundbreaking public-private initiative, first launched in 2018, brings together County employees from the Department of Health & Human Services and community leaders to work together, eliminate duplications in service programs and find effective ways to meet the needs of Monmouth County’s residents.
