Monmouth Co. 2021 Election: Who's Running, All The Ways To Vote
The general election is on Nov. 2. Check out our voter guide before you cast your ballot.
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The general election is only three weeks away and Monmouth County residents will be able to cast their votes on several state and local races.
This year voters will have more ways and more days to vote in person than ever, according to Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon. Earlier this year, a new state law was passed mandating the option of in-person early voting in New Jersey.

What And Who Are On The Ballot?
- Governor's race: Gov. Murphy is running for reelection this year against Republican Jack Ciattarelli, Madelyn Hoffman (Green Party), Gregg Mele (Libertarian) and Joanne Kuniansky (Socialist Workers Party).
- State Senate: Find out which candidates are running for state senator in your district here.

- Council and committee seats: A list of candidates for each local council or committee race can be found here.
- School Board: A list of candidates for your local board of education can be found here.
- Fire Commissioner: Find out if your municipality has an open race for fire commissioner here.
- State Constitutional Questions: Voters will be asked to approve a constitutional amendment to permit wagering on all college sport or athletic activities and a constitutional amendment to allow certain organizations authorized to conduct games of chance to use proceeds from those games to support the organization.
- County Commissioner: Republican Susan Kiley and Democrat Michael Beson are running for the seat.

- In-person early voting: In-person early voting will be available in 10 polling locations in Monmouth County between Oct. 23 and 31. See full list of locations here. Hours will be Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters who registered for vote-by-mail will not be able to cast their ballots in person. To check your voter registration status go to Vote.NJ.Gov and click on the "Am I Registered?" tab.
- In-person on election day: Polls will be open on Nov. 2 between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. See where you can cast your vote here.
- Mail-in ballot: To vote by mail, voters must first complete a vote by mail ballot application, which can be found here or by visiting the office of the county clerk or your hometown's municipal clerk. Applications must be received seven days before the election, on Oct. 26. A total of 35 drop boxes are available in Monmouth county and their addresses can be found listed on the Monmouth County Clerk's Election Division website. All locations are open 24 hours a day and until 8 p.m. on election day unless noted.
