Preschool, Kindergarten Registration Open In Howell

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township families who are looking for preschool or kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year can register their children now.

Registration opened online on Feb. 1 and the preliminary part of the registration process must be completed online, district officials said.

Children who will be 3 years old on or before Oct. 1, 2024, are eligible for the preschool program, and children who will be 5 or older on or before Oct. 1 are eligible for kindergarten.

After providing your student's information, you will be asked to select an appointment time for the in-person verification session, which will take place at the district's Central Registration Office. During the in-person verification session, you will need to present the following required documents:

• Student's original birth certificate with raised seal
• 2 proofs of residency
• Completed residency affidavit
• Student's current physical exam and immunization record
• Parent/Guardian Photo ID

Please note: Children who currently attend a preschool program within the Howell Township School District and will attend Pre-K 4 or kindergarten in the subsequent school year do not need to register for Pre-K 4 or Kindergarten as they will be automatically enrolled for next school year.

If you are unable to access the internet from home, the online pre-registration can be completed from ANY computer/device with internet access; local libraries have computer with this capability available to you.
