Solid Margin Divides Howell Council Race: Unofficial Results
A 1-year unexpired term was up for election on the township council.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township voters have chosen a Republican to replace Republican Fred Gasior on the Township Council, according to unofficial results.
Michael Wrubel held a margin of more than 5,000 votes over Democrat James P. Quinn Jr. on Tuesday night, according to the unofficial results.
Gasior resigned in July amid turmoil over the departure of township administrator Joseph Clark. Clark later filed a lawsuit against the township alleging blatantly discriminatory actions on the part of Councilman Ian Nadel and other township officials, and Matt Howard, who had been deputy administrator, filed a similar lawsuit a month later.
