NJ Teen Charged In Thanksgiving Stabbing Choked, Assaulted Woman Pushing Child In Stroller, Police Say
The 18-year-old suspect from Freehold Township is facing multiple charges in connection with the incidents, police said.

HOWELL, NJ — A teenager charged in a Thanksgiving stabbing at an Ocean County apartment complex is the same man sought by police for attacking a woman pushing her child in a stroller in Howell, authorities said.
Jaden Thompson, 18, of Freehold Township, was identified as the suspect in the stroller attack and charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault (a disorderly persons offense), Howell Police said.
Thompson was arrested and charged following the incident on Nov. 17, when a woman was walking in the area of Pinewood Road near Cecilia Court with her two-year-old child in a stroller.

Shortly before 5 p.m., police said a man came up behind the woman, put her in a choke-hold, and threw her to the ground. When she screamed for help, he ran away.
Following the incident, police said several tips were provided by the community, which helped to identify Thompson as the suspect.

As of Nov. 29, police said Thompson is lodged at Ocean County Jail.
According to a report from NJ Advance Media, Thompson was charged with attempted murder, among other charges, in the Ocean County stabbing, and the stabbing victim was alive and recovering at the hospital as of Tuesday.
