Tropical Storm Isaias Brush Pickup Continues In Howell
Cleanup efforts continue nearly three weeks after the tropical storm tore through Monmouth County.
HOWELL, NJ – Weeks after Tropical Storm Isaias shook the Garden State with hurricane-force winds, heavy rain and isolated tornadoes, Howell Township remains in the thick of restoration efforts. The township issued an update on Aug. 25 regarding debris cleanup:
“In response to the widespread tree and vegetative damage Howell incurred on 4 August 2020 from Tropical Storm Isaias, Howell DPW continues the town wide brush pickup,” reads a statement on the municipal website. “To date we have completed Zones F, G and H, and are more than halfway through I. Once done with Zone I, we will follow with Zones J, A, B, C, D and E.”

- Stack brush against curb with all ends facing the same direction
- Maximum size brush size is 8 feet in length
- Additional brush can be dropped off at the Recycling Center (located at 278 Old Tavern Rd. The center is open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
- Leaf piles will not be accepted
