With Votes Certified, Howell School Board Member Thanks Community
Incumbent Denise M. Lowe presented comments on her re-election to the Howell Board of Education in a statement.

HOWELL, NJ — Board of Education member Denise M. Lowe expressed thanks to Howell voters for her re-election, in a statement.
"Every vote counts and the community has spoken. I would like to thank the Howell Township community for their steadfast, unwavering confidence in my abilities as a leader on the board for the next three years," she said.
The official vote results were unchanged since reported Nov. 21 and showed the following results:

- Ira Thor: 6,286
- Martianne Degliuomini: 5,618
- Denise M. Lowe: 5,306
- Albert 'Al' Miller: 5,293
- Write-ins: 890
Lowe edged out current board president Albert Miller by 13 votes to retain her seat on the board.
Three seats were open on the school board, with four candidates running in the Nov. 7 election. The final vote total includes mail-in and provisional votes counted, along with those cast by machine.

"Congratulations to Mr. Thor and Mrs. Degliuomini. I look forward to working with them," Lowe said.
She also thanked Albert Miller, whom she has served with.
"Mr. Miller, thank you for your 12 years of service to the Howell Township community," she said.
She said the combined votes of the two write in candidates, Eleanora Calo and Denise Hirschhorn, "made an impact in this election. I encourage you stay engaged in our board committees and our upcoming strategic planning sessions."
She concluded: "We all have a role to play in bringing our community back together around continuing to provide the best high quality education for our students in the state. I have the utmost confidence that we can do it by working together and keeping our focus on our amazing students and staff."
