Take A Winter Walk Along Manasquan Reservoir In Howell
Visit the Manasquan Reservoir in Howell on one of the Monmouth County Park System's 'Wondrous Winter Walks.'

HOWELL, NJ — The Monmouth County Park System has a few plans for the winter season, among them a winter walk along the Manasquan Reservoir.
Billed as "Wondrous Winter Walks," the first one of the month is right in Howell.
It's Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m. Meet at the parking lot of the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center in Howell.

Wear some winter gear, and stroll with a Park System naturalist and explore nature in wintertime, the county urges.
The walk is open to all ages, but if you are under 18 you should come with an adult. Sturdy footwear is recommended, and the trails may have inclines or tree roots to step over.

The location is 331 Georgia Tavern Road, 07731. Contact the center at 732-751-9453. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at this time of year.
If that walk makes you want to become a reservoir regular, you can go back to the Environmental Center and see a planned exhibit, "Shapes of Nature," in February.
The exhibit will be there Feb. 1 to 29; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
