Woman Dies In Head-On Crash With Concrete Mixer On Route 33 In Howell
The woman's car crossed the center line into the mixer's path, police said.
HOWELL, NJ — A Canadian woman was killed Tuesday when her car hit a concrete mixer head-on on Route 33, Howell police said.
The 54-year-old woman from Ontario, Canada, whose name was not released, died at the scene of the crash, which was reported at 10:28 a.m. and happened near West Renaissance Boulevard, police said.
The woman was driving a 2023 Mazda CX-5 was driving west on Route 33 when her vehicle crossed the center line as she went into a curve and hit the concrete mixer, which was headed east, police said.

The driver and a passenger in the concrete mixer suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.
Howell Police EMS, Howell First Aid, Atlantic Health paramedics, Adelphia Fire Company, Squankum Fire Company, Naval Warfare Station Earle Fire Department, the Howell Fire Bureau, the state Department of Transportation and Certified Auto Mall also responded.
