Kindergarten Orientation Scheduled

A Kindergarten Orientation Program will take place for children enteringΒ kindergarten in September 2011 on May 11, 2011. Hosts of the program are the Jefferson Consolidated PTA, Briggs School staff and the Department of Transportation. The program will take place atΒ the Briggs School and is designed to help ease the transition from preschool to kindergarten. Children will be given a tourΒ of the school and participate in a kindergarten classroom. TheyΒ will also be taught school bus safety and take a short bus ride.

Two sessions will be offered on Wednesday, May 11: 9 toΒ 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. Registration forms areΒ available at the Briggs School. All children will be accepted,Β but session choice will be given on a first come first serveΒ basis.

The fee for this program is $7 per child and checks should beΒ made payable to the Jefferson Consolidated PTA. Cash will alsoΒ be accepted. Completed registration form and registration feeΒ should be mailed directly to the Briggs School, 1 JeffersonΒ Drive, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849 by no later than April 30, 2011.

Parents are invited to attend a separate orientation at theΒ Briggs School on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 7 p.m.Β
