Area College Students Receive Honors
Graduations and honor society inductions among accolades.

Students from Jefferson Township have received accolades from colleges around the nation. The following have been honored:
- Christine Guarino of Oak Ridge, a senior at King's College, has received a Fulbright Scholarship. She will be teaching English in a high school classroom in Germany.
- Andrew Black, a criminal justice major from Oak Ridge, was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia.
- Malaak Jamal of Oak Ridge, a student on Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham Campus, located in Madison, has been inducted into FDU's Pi Sigma Alpha honor society for political science.
- Lorraine Hoyle of Oak Ridge graduated from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon at its commencement ceremony on May 5. Hoyle received a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction.
- Sarah Horwitz of Oak Ridge, a junior film production major at Emerson College, achieved high academic standing and was inducted into the Gold Key Honor Society.
- Stephanie Romano of Oak Ridge was among the 175 University of Scranton students inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society of freshmen.
