Baseball and Other Talents Abound

Watch a game or a talent show this week.

Hopefully by now you’ve all remembered to set your clock ahead one hour, and you’re not late for work, school or any other appointments. And hopefully you’re on your regular Patch reading schedule. We are, so here, as always, are the five things you need to know today.

  1. You Need to Know About This Game: Ahh, the crack of the bat, the sound of the ball slapping into the mitt…you know it’s springtime when baseball comes back. And even though it’s the first scrimmage of the season, it still says spring when the take the diamond again. This time the Falcons visit Wayne Hills High School at 4 p.m. today. Go on out to root on the Falcons and get your first taste of spring.
  2. You Need to Know About This Presentation: Tonight at 7, the will present a program called “The Role of the Behaviorist.” If your child has special needs, come out and hear how a behaviorist can help you and your child. This program will be held in the high school media center, and if for both parents and educators.
  3. You Need to Know About This Meeting: The Jefferson Township council will hold a special meeting to discuss the Lake Swannanoa dam restoration on Wednesday, March 16 at7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. This meeting was rescheduled from its original date of March 9.
  4. You Need to Know About This Sale: If you’re up for a little drive, the entire town of …well not really. You can’t buy the town, but virtually every retailer will be holding a sale or special. If you work in Livingston or have reason to visit there, this may be something you want to check out.
  5. You Need to Know About This Show: Jefferson middle schoolers have talent. And they’re going to show it off to you on Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. From singing to break dancing to drama, you can see it all from this talented bunch of kids.
