Berkshire Valley Road was completely reopened as of Monday afternoon.
"The tree service came and finished cutting down and removing the tree from the roadway," said Sgt. Paul Castimore of the Jefferson Township police department. "The road is completely open for motorists."
The tree had fallen sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning as a result of Hurricane Irene.
