Boy Scout Food Drive a Success

Pack 49 collected "thousands of pounds of food."

Boy Scout Pack 49 leader Mark Rabtzow shared this letter to the his scouts and the community:

To Pack 49 and Our Generous Friends and Family,

With great pride I commend you for your efforts this past Saturday at our very successful "Scouting for Food." We had a multitude of scouts, parents, siblings and scout leaders brave the cold weather at the A&P, asking our neighbors to help out some of our less fortunate neighbors this holiday season. Literally we collected thousands of pounds of food.

We should all be proud of our efforts and proud to be part of such a generous and caring community, willing to lend a hand to those in need.

Look for the good in others and you will find it. Look for miracles and you will find them. We saw both on Saturdayβ€”in ourselves and in our neighbors.
