Carnival Coming to Town
But not before the Jefferson Township Memorial Day celebration.

One more day of freedom and no work. Don’t you just love a holiday weekend? Patch doesn’t take time off, though, so here we give you the latest edition of five things:
- You Need to Know About This Celebration: The Jefferson Township will begin today at 11 a.m. with a ceremony at the American Legion Hall on Espanong Road, followed by a parade at noon. Come out and remember why we celebrate this day.
- You Need to Know About This Class: Learn to defend yourself against attackers. Take a at St. Jude’s Church in Hopatcong on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
- You Need to Know About This Carnival: The on Espanong Road starts on Wednesday and goes through Saturday. Times on Wednesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. Support the church and enjoy some old-fashioned carnival rides and junk food.
- You Need to Know About This Support Group: A meets on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Morristown. The group is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association.
- You Need to Know About This Music: Start your weekend off right on Friday with DJ Rage at the Jefferson House. Sit out on the deck and enjoy the view of Lake Hopatcong.
