Residents to Oversee Unused Portion of Mason Street
Jefferson officials said if residents cooperate in their use of the mostly unused roadway, the town would have no problem.

The Jefferson Town Council passed an ordinance handing control of a portion of unused Mason Street to the people who live there at its Sept. 25 meeting, AIM Jefferson reported.
Some residents in the area stated concerns about their access to the largely abandoned roadway, which they have used for years.
