DeCarlo Honored as Eagle Scout

Thomas DeCarlo of Boy Scout Troop 49 was honored at Wednesday’s meeting for having attained Eagle Scout status.

DeCarlo chose as his project to build a memory garden at J in honor of Dakota McNabb, who died three years ago as a result of complications from a brain tumor.

“He was my classmate and teammate, and I wanted to do something to remember him,” DeCarlo said.

DeCarlo’s parents Geoffrey and Rachel were on hand to see him receive his accolades from the council.
