Eagle Scout Beautifies High School Athletic Complex

David Swerzenski earns Boy Scouting's highest award.

David Swerzenski has been an athlete at for all of his four years at the school. He’s also been involved in Boy Scouts for many years. When it came time to work on his Eagle Scout project, Swerzenski decided to combine his two interests and perk up the high school grounds. Swerzenski, a member of Troop 151, redid the entrance to the athletic complex as his project.

“I redid the whole entrance,” he said. “I tore out the hill, made walls, built a patio and did some planting.

“The area had been hard for the custodians to maintain,” he continued. “I think the improvements make it nicer to look at and easier to maintain.”
